- A more detailed look at the heart, lungs and vascular system including their structure, function and the effect of coronary heart disease.
- Energy for muscle action
- Covers the energy systems responsible for fueling the body during exercise and how training can affect them.
- Nervous and endocrine system
- Understand how nervous and hormonal responses affect the body.

Assessment
This module in assessed by completing a 90 minute multiple choice exam. Successful completion of this module and Advanced programming will gain the Lifetime Advanced Fitness Instructor Award.
