 Sports and performance nutrition

This course tackles the growing subject of sports and performance nutrition, we also evaluate eating for optimal health. Study eating strategies for endurance sports, eating for strength, size and power. Evaluate the effectiveness of performance enhancing supplements by investigating the research behind them. Take an in depth look at so-called super foods and what they do for the body.

Entry Requirements

A good knowledge of nutrition is required before attending this module so completion of the Lifetime level 3 nutrition modules or similar is required.

Assessment and Certification

National Standards for Exercise and Fitness Logo

This workshop is assessed by a short multiple choice exam. Students will achieve a certification of attendance and 10 CPD credits.
